about
Quick and dirty deathrock ditty demo Epi and I wrote
lyrics
(Verse i)
In sights unspoken
in sights unseen
to dream but never believe
in waking hours reward self-hatred
while we buy into the scheme
(Chorus)
Does God sneer in our direction
When we look to the heavens with a lustful gaze
it seems there is no question
we're here to suffer while we praise
(Verse ii)
The lies that go noticed
and always ignored
burning candles
dimly lit pews
to settle the score
(Bridge)
All the times I've laid my head
all the dreams that came to pass
am i still afraid of eternal darkness?
I still plug my ears I still close my eyes
Kiss The Crucifix, now say your goodbyes
(Chorus)
Does God laugh in our direction?
when we look to the heavens with a lustful gaze
it seems there is no question
we're here to suffer while we praise

New wave of Gothic Rock at it's finest. This band has top level talent from well renowned acts involved so wasn't the least bit surprised upon hearing the opening track. If you miss late 80's to mid 90's gothic rock bands, I can't recommend this one enough. m4rkos1334

This is a stunningly great comp of goth, death rock, darkwave and post punk. You may not recognize all the bands here, but believe me when I say you want to keep these bands on your radar, because many of them are primed to breakout. This comp represents the bleeding edge of the true underground of current dark music, and is not to be missed if you want to be ahead of the curve. The Obscura Undead crew has done an excellent job curating an absolutely essential comp for the modern goth scene. acidbitter
